FENWICK, RANKED No. 2 in the state behind St. Charles, won the Hinsdale South Invitational with 261 points to 184 for ninth-ranked Rockford Guilford and 165 for 16th-ranked Hinsdale South.
Peter Jenkins led the Friars with victories in the 200-yard freestyle
(1:47.23) and the 100 freestyle (49.06). He also swam a leg on the winning 800 relay team (7:32.50). Other Fenwick winners were George Imredy in the 400 individual medley (4:22.07) and the 200 butterfly (1:58.07), Chris Cella in the 50 freestyle (22.97) and the 400 medley relay (3:43.73).
Fenwick will tune up for state competition with a dual meet against Brother Rice and the Catholic League meet.
