Mass for Theodore A. Waller, 78, a retired Chicago Fire Department lieutenant, will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1625 Highland Ave., Elgin. Mr. Waller, who died Monday in Sherman Hospital, Elgin, moved to the suburb after retiring from the Fire Department in 1953. He is survived by his wife, Lillian; 5 daughters, Dorothy Groth, Mary McGinnis, Margaret Curtis, Katheryn Swedo and Susan Holley; 18 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a sister.
