My dear fellow taxpayers:
Do you think it will ever come to pass that ex-Presidents Nixon, Ford and Carter might volunteer to take at least a 25 percent cut in their outrageously exorbitant, ex-presidential ”entitlement perks”?
Do you really believe that the day will come when any ex-president, ex-senator or ex-congressman whose net worth is in excess of $1 million might voluntarily agree to waive his ”entitlement rights” to taxpayer-funded medical care?
Do you think that Congress will ever enact legislation that would reduce, by at least 50 percent, the payment of hospitalization benefits to any retired political officeholder whose net worth is in excess of $1 million?
If your answer is ”yes” to any of the above, then in all likelihood you still believe in Santa Claus and the tooth fairy.
