Pat Haggerty has been named referee for Sunday`s game. The other officials will umpire Tom Hensley, head linesman Leo Miles, line judge Ray Dodez, back judge Tom Kelleher, side judge Bill Quinby and field judge Bob Lewis. Alternates are referee Jerry Markbreit and umpire Bob Boylston.
This will be Haggerty`s third Super Bowl. He also worked Super Bowl XIII at Miami and Super Bowl XVI at Pontiac, Mich. Officials are selected on merit after being graded each week during the season.
