Why, oh why, are we not offered a referendum on the question of whether a so-called World`s Fair will be held in Chicago?

Is it because our ”leaders,” the professional politicians, realize that, given the chance, the people will overwhelmingly vote against this ridiculous waste of taxpayer money, especially if the fair is to wreck our beautiful lakefront? Instead, that money should be used to aid our financially troubled public school system.

Let`s have a referendum and bury the 1992 Chicago World`s Fair.
