IOWA QUARTERBACK Chuck Long will prolong his agony a bit more by deferring his decision on whether to turn professional or return to school for a fifth year. ”Some agents have told me I`ll go in the first round,” said Long, who`d hoped to make up his mind before leaving Wheaton for Iowa Saturday following the semester break. ”The money is tempting, and I`m not going to totally ignore that, but a lot of other things are going on inside my head that people don`t know about. Like going back to the Rose Bowl. And graduating.” Long will talk with coach Hayden Fry face-to-face this week and says that right now ”I`m more inclined to stay.”
