Comets update–Members of the Major Indoor Soccer League Western Division, the Comets (9-14) are 5-3 since losing to the Sting 5-4 Dec. 28 in Kansas City. The Comets have a 4-7 road record and are 4-6 against Eastern Division teams. They are 0-3 lifetime at the Stadium. Former Sting Charlie Fajkus leads Comets` scorers with 16 goals and 26 points.

Sting update–The Sting (15-7) has beaten Kansas City twice this season, once at each site, and holds a 4-2 lifetime edge. MISL scoring leader Karl-Heinz Granitza has scored five goals against the Comets in six career games, three of them in the two matches this season. In the Stadium opener, Kansas City took 14 shots, the lowest ever against the Sting.
