President Reagan is being called a ”lame duck.” Comments from all sides are trying to establish how this will handicap him–and possibly the country. Maybe some thought should be given to repealing the amendment barring third terms for presidents–if not for President Reagan`s tenure, then for future occupants of the White House.
After all, the barring of a third term was only intended to spite FDR, I think. If we`re fortunate enough to get a good person into the White House, why limit his or her service to two terms? Let the voters decide.
