I am writing in response to your Jan. 28 editorial about ”Unmilitary umbrellas.” The rule that U.S. Army officers cannot carry an umbrella while in uniform is ghastly.
As one officer claims, they look like ”wimps” carrying umbrellas, but don`t they look even more like wimps while they are sneezing and coughing because they have head colds from not using umbrellas?
