Red Wing update–The return of goalie Greg Stefan from the disabled list has brought the Red Wings out of a major recession. Last weekend he beat the Hawks 7-4 in Detroit and stopped 46 shots in tying them 4-4 in Chicago.
Black Hawk update–The Hawks are unbeaten (3-0-1) on home ice since general manager Bob Pulford became their coach. But they`re returning after a poor performance, Friday`s 4-1 loss in Minnesota. Even though Murray Bannerman will be back in goal after missing almost two games because of pulled stomach muscles, he isn`t 100 percent.
