First, there`s the NCAA tournament, with its own shlocky productions until CBS takes over Saturday and Sunday. Friday, Illinois plays Northeastern at 11 a.m. and De Paul meets Syracuse at 6 p.m., with both games on WFBN-TV

(Channel 66). WFBN-TV will rebroadcast the Illini game immediately after the De Paul game. On ESPN (cable), Friday`s live telecasts are: North Carolina State vs. Nevada-Reno, 1 p.m.; Tulsa vs. Texas-El Paso, 3:30 p.m.; and Villanova vs. Dayton, 8:30 p.m. That`s followed by Alabama-Arizona at 10:30 p.m. on WBBM-TV (Channel 2). Saturday and Sunday, WBBM-TV (Channel 2) provides second-round coverage of three contests. Second, the Cubs play the Brewers Sunday at 2 p.m. on WGN-TV (Channel 9). And third, Larry Holmes puts his International Boxing Federation heavyweight title on the line for the last time Friday at 9 p.m. on HBO (cable) against David Bey. It doesn`t get any better.
