The amount of beef broth was accidentally omitted from the following hamburger soup recipe in the April 18th Food Guide.
HAMBURGER SOUP
Two to three servings
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 25 minutes
1/2 onion, chopped
1 pound lean hamburger
1 teaspoon salt or to taste
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1 cup tomato juice
2 to 3 cups beef broth
1 package (10 ounces) frozen soup vegetables
1. Brown onion in skillet until tender. Add hamburger and continue to cook until brown. Add salt and pepper. Add juice and 2 cups broth and heat to simmer. Add frozen soup vegetables, cover skillet and heat slowly until vegetables are tender. Add remaining cup of broth to thin to desired consistency.
