Michigan shortstop Barry Larkin was named the Big 10`s Most Valuable Player for the second consecutive season. Larkin, a junior, batted .365 with 10 home runs and 52 RBIs. Among the all-star team`s other members are Northwestern catcher Joe Girardi (.390, 8 home runs, 45 RBIs) and Illinois pitcher Donn Pall, who led the league with a 13-0 record and a 3.48 ERA.
