Wallace Computer Services Inc. reported record sales and earnings for its fiscal third quarter, ended April 30.
The Hillside-based company said net income in the quarter rose 16 percent, to $6.2 million, or 62 cents a share, from $5.4 million, or 55 cents a share, a year earlier. Sales climbed 11 percent, to $71.3 million from $64.5 million a year earlier.
Ted Dimitriou, chairman, president and chief executive officer, said:
”We are pleased with our third-quarter results, which establish new quarterly sales and earnings records for the company. This was accomplished in a period of a generally stable economy and compares favorably to a record 1984 third quarter.”
Wallace provides business forms, commercial printing, computer labels, machine ribbons, computer hardware and software, computer accessories and other office products through a sales force, direct mail and wholesalers.
