On May 19 and 20, CBS showed a miniseries, ”Christopher Columbus.”

Historian Samuel Eliot Morison found about 20 notarial records showing Columbus was in Genoa or Savona, Italy, during 1470-79. The Brittanica shows that in 1472-73 he was a pirate on the Mediterranean, 1473-74 on the Greek island of Chios, 1476 fought with the Portuguese against Genoa, 1477 sailed to Iceland, 1478 got married in Portugal.

Few home weekends, I suppose.
