In eight-week anthology comedy series begins at 7:30 p.m. on ABC-Ch. 7. Called ”The Comedy Factory,” the half-hour show features six relatively unknown TV and stage actors–Geoffrey Bowes, Susan Hogan, Mary Long, Mary Ann McDonald, Derek McGrath and Denis Simpson. The director is Peter Moss, artistic director of Young People`s Theatre in Toronto.
The first show, ”He`s the Mayor,” features Bill Daily as a mayor who might have some shady political connections.
Next week, a newspaper columnist answers a personal ad and winds up with more than a good story. Future shows will deal with a couple`s second marriage to each other, a husband and wife psychiatrist team and a middle-aged suburban couple`s return to the city.
