A private memorial service for Walter Lasota, 68, a former River Grove resident, was held in Detroit. Mr. Lasota died June 14 in a Detroit hospital. Before retiring, he was plant manager for E.J. Somerville Co., Chicago, a metal-plating firm for which he had worked 25 years. Mr. Lasota is survived by three sisters.
