Why must we suffer? Year after year, the complaint continues that the air-conditioning on CTA buses doesn`t work. Finally, the CTA decided to put some ”opening” windows in their fixed-window buses. But do they open? No. More often than not, they`re jammed shut.
Here it is midsummer, and I haven`t ridden one supposedly air-conditioned bus all season in which the air-conditioning actually worked! The CTA had the entire winter to remedy this problem, so why didn`t they?
I know the CTA`s in bad shape; I know it has had its money problems. But at nearly a dollar a ride, the least it could do is provide riders some comfort!
