In defense of the new Cubs announcer from Houston, I say he`s as good or better than Milo Hamilton. And, unlike the ”Budman” and the washed-out Giant, Statts doesn`t continually moan about certain errors and he doesn`t continually act negative toward Larry Bowa and Ron Cey.
I like the way DeWayne calls a game a game and not life and death. He doesn`t talk too much. He`s not a parrot.
