Evening News Association said that it fired Peter A. Kizer, executive vice president of the Detroit firm`s broadcast division, and claimed that Kizer acknowledged that he leaked confidential and proprietary company information to a representative of A. Jerrold Perenchio. On Monday, Perenchio and Norman Lear launched an unsolicited $453 million tender offer for Evening News, the media firm that publishes the Detroit News. In documents for their tender offer, Perenchio and Lear said that an unidentified ”senior executive” of Evening News provided one of their representatives with Evening News directors` reports and five-year business forecasts.
