How can people support two contradictory positions simultaneously? The same people who now want interference in South Africa, because ”we are our brother`s keeper,” have been saying ”we are not our brother`s keeper” when we tried to preserve a legitimate government in South Vietnam and when we try to reform a tyranny in Nicaragua and try to preserve a legitimate government in El Salvador. Don`t tell us that we are, and are not, obligated to spread our ideas of freedom with active interference. It has to be one of those two positions.
