Roger Mudd and ”American Almanac” return for the second edition of NBC`s new newsmagazine show at 9 p.m. Wednesday on NBC-Ch. 5. Although several TV critics liked the August premiere, the show finished a disappointing 44th for the week in the A.C. Nielsen Co. ratings.
Wednesday, anchor Mudd focuses on the new fall TV season. He`ll interview Brandon Tartikoff, president of NBC Entertainment; Lew Erlicht, president of ABC Entertainment; and Harvey Shephard, senior vice president, CBS programs. Another segment looks at a controversial card identification law that exists in Palm Beach.
”Almanac” will be seen monthly until January, when the show moves to a weekly slot.
