Robert Clinton Oates, 58, executive vice president of the John P. Harding Market Co. in Niles for 23 years, died Tuesday in Evanston Hospital. Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Norbert Catholic Church, 1809 Walters Ave., Northbrook. Mr. Oates was a resident of Northbrook for the last 22 years and of Twin Lakes, Wis. for the last 13 years. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; two daughters, Kathleen O`Boyle and Mary Noel; two sons, Robert E. and Charles C.; his father, Clinton C.; a sister; and two grandchildren.
