I am very happy to know from John von Rhein`s review of the Sept. 6 Ravinia concert that he not only admired the splendid performances but also sympathized with Pinchas Zukerman and Peter Serkin, who ”were not even given the option, as were the orchestra members, to perform in shirt sleeves.”
I would go further. Why can`t all Ravinia musicians wear short sleeves when the temperature and the humidity soar?
