Northbrook-based General Binding Corp. said it expects third-quarter earnings to be lower than the 28 cents a share it earned a year earlier. Sales are expected to increase to about $43 million from $38.3 million. The company attributed the expected lower earnings to continued pressure on profit margins at its U.S. Ringbinder subsidiary.
