In regard to the discovery of the famed ocean liner Titanic, I have heard talk of raising the mighty ship from its grave, 13,000 feet underwater. I am, like many others, against the raising of the ship. It would be senseless to raise the liner to the surface, for the sole purpose of tourist attraction use. I believe it should remain in its present state, as a memorial to those who lost their lives on the Titanic, and as a reminder to we the living that we must preserve the past, which means leaving the ocean liner as it is
–undisturbed, and its ghostly crew and passengers to rest in peace.
