Mass for Bernard Gavin, 74, a retired Chicago police officer, will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church, 83d Street and Kostner Avenue. Mr. Gavin, of the Southwest Side, died Friday in Christ Hospital, Oak Lawn. Survivors include a son, Philip, and a sister.
