This week mingling singles can party city- or suburban-style.

A group called Gold Coast Singles throws parties at 7 p.m. every Sunday in that great singles bar on that great singles street, the Snuggery, at 15 W. Division St.

The invitations say that the only requirement to join the fun is a willingness to ”meet other upscale, professional, unattached people over 25 who live along the broad shoulders of Chicago.”

A buffet dinner is included in the $5 admission price.

Losing lottery tickets will be worth one free drink per customer during Lip Sync Night Friday in La Salle, a new video dance bar in the Sheraton-Naperville Hotel, 1801 Naper Blvd. in the suburb.

Lip sync competition also will be held in the bar Nov. 8 and 15, with the finals scheduled for Nov. 22. Grand prize in the contest is a waterbed.

Nov. 9 and 23 are `50s nights in the bar, with prizes awarded to best costumes.
