Hawks update–Atlanta is led by NBA slam-dunk champion Dominique Wilkins and forward Cliff Levingston. Wilkins is averaging 24.5 points and 7 rebounds a game and Levingston is contributing 14.3 points and 7.4 rebounds. Wayne
”Tree” Rollins has beaten out much-heralded second-year man Kevin Willis at center, and ex-Celtic Ray Williams and Randy Wittman start in the backcourt. Off the bench, 5-foot-5-inch Anthony ”Spud” Webb continues to excite crowds and amaze skeptics.
Bulls update–Guard Quintin Dailey continues working himself back into playing shape, as does guard George ”the Iceman” Gervin. Jawann Oldham should be a good match for Rollins in the middle. Center Dave Corzine is quietly putting up good numbers, scoring and rebounding with consistency.
