Sidekicks update–Although Dallas is 3-6, it has improved over last season, the expansion team`s first year. Last year the Sidekicks lost their first 10 games and were 12-36 overall. It took them until Dec. 15 to win three games. Forward Tatu, who tears off his jersey and throws it into the crowd whenever he scores a goal, had 59 goals last year. Tatu`s 12 goals and 6 assists place him second in the Major Indoor Soccer League scoring race. Top newcomers include two former Sting–defender Victor Moreland and forward Diego Castro–as well as midfielders Billy Caskey, Ed Radwanski and Pedro DeBrito, forward Louie Nanchoff and goalkeeper Krys Sobieski.

Sting update–As it has in all of its previous matches this season, the Sting (1-6) finds itself desperate for a victory. This is its worst start in six seasons of indoor play. The team showed signs of improvement in last Wednesday night`s 4-1 loss at Cleveland, but still had problems. Last season, the Sting was 0-3 against the Sidekicks, including two losses in Dallas. The Sidekicks have moved to the MISL`s Eastern Division and will play the Sting five times this season.
