In the Nov. 22 Tribune we read, ”Hutton pleaded guilty last May to defrauding banks through excessive check overdrafting. . . .”
Excessive? Just how much overdrafting would have been acceptable? We hope that Hutton has learned its lesson. A little routine fraud is tolerable; it is only when you overdo this overdrafting ploy that you are charged with having overstepped the bounds set for legitimate larceny.
