Mike Clark, Thornridge–The 6-3 junior forward contributed 22 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 assists in a 43-32 victory over Homewood-Flossmoor.
Beth Hasenmiller, St. Edward–The 5-11 1/2 junior center paced her team to two victories with 51 points and 25 rebounds.
Becky Jackson, St. Ignatius–The 5-10 junior forward collected 34 points and 33 rebounds as her team posted three victories.
GYMNASTICS
Gita Saedi, Hinsdale South–The junior established a school record of 9.5 for the balance beam while placing first in all events and leading her team to a triangular-meet victory and the Proviso West Invitational championship.
WRESTLING
Sam Cohen, Julian–The senior was named outstanding wrestler in the Marian Catholic tournament, winning the 126-pound championship with three pins and improving his season record to 9-0.
Bill Robinson, Bishop McNamara–The senior won the 138-pound title in the Marian Catholic tournament, hiking his season record to 6-0.
Mark Rogers, Oak Park–The senior captured the 138-pound championship in the West Allis (Wis.) tournament to remain undefeated through nine matches.
SWIMMING
Joe Bogusz, Bremen–The senior won the 100-yard backstroke, helped his 200-yard medley relay team to victory and placed second in the 200-yard individual medley as Bremen gained runner-up honors in the Hillcrest Invitational. He helped his team to a dual-meet victory by winning the individual medley and backstroke and swimming on the winning 200-yard medley relay team.
