The London Metal Exchange set a January deadline for a settlement to the crisis that has paralyzed the world tin market since Oct. 24. LME`s chief executive officer, Michael Brown, said tin trading on the exchange would remain suspended until Jan. 13 when a decision on the future of tin contracts would be made.
