With the latest disclosure of spying in the U.S. by our alleged ”best friend and best ally” in the Middle East, Israel, it becomes more evident what many of us have known for quite a while. Israel cannot be trusted, even by the United States.

I recall the ”accidental” bombing of the USS Liberty by Israeli jet fighters and torpedo boats in the Mediterranean on June 8, 1967. The Liberty was an unarmed, clearly marked communications vessel. Thirty-four U.S. servicemen died in the attack and another 171 were wounded. Israel quickly said it was a ”mistake.”

I say that the United States should think twice about the billions in financial and military assistance being sent to Israel. I know the taxpayers should think about it. I`m sure the deficit could be cut drastically if this nation were cut from the U.S. trough.
