Ford Motor Co. said its subsidiary, Ford Aerospace & Communications Corp., got a $200 million contract to build two commercial communications satellites for the Japanese. The contract is for satellites in the Intelsat V series, for which Ford Aerospace is a prime contractor. Mitsubishi Electric of Japan is the major Japanese contractor for the communications system.
