1985 season–Received a game ball vs. San Francisco (10-13). . . . Has started at right guard for the last 13 games after serving as a back-up the first three games.

Pro career–Drafted by the Bears in the 4th rpound of the `83 draft, but chose to join Chicago in the USFL. . . . Got into 10 games as a rookie for the Blitz and started in eight games. . . . Received the starting nod in the final nine games of `83, including a playoff game at Philadelphia. . . . First pro start came on 5-15-83, also at Philadelphia. . . . Played at left guard for Blitz after replacing Kari Yli-Renko.

Collegiate, personal–All-America at Notre Dame. . . . Lettered for four seasons (1979-82). . . . Played in the 1981 Sugar Bowl loss to Georgia. . . . Played strong guard as a senior, but also played tackle and center during his years at South Bend. . . . Voted the Hering Award as top offensive lineman during spring drills as sophomore, junior and senior.
