Ford Motor Co. extended its offer of 7.9 percent discount financing on 1986 subcompact Ford Escort and Mercury Lynx models and 1985 two-seater Ford EXP models through Feb. 22. But Ford revised the plan, which was to have ended Thursday, to cover only cars equipped with manual transmission and to apply to 48-month loans, not 42 months under the previous offer.
