We all should have known, I suppose, that our high hopes for an arms treaty would fail, given this administration`s paranoia and militaristic view of the world. Though the Reaganites have increased the national deficit more than all previous administrations combined, we seem less secure than ever. I do not believe any meaningful peace will occur so long as men with a narrow vision are more interested in superiority rather than compromise and more willing to risk the destruction of the planet rather than learning to live in peace and tolerance.
