A task force has been formed to investigate the strangulation and stabbing deaths of 15 prostitutes in the past two years, police and sheriff`s officers said.
”We know there is a person or persons killing prostitutes,” Los Angeles Police Lt. John Zorn, who will head the joint investigation, said Tuesday.
”Whether one guy is responsible for all of them, we don`t know,” he said. ”That`s what we want to find out.”
Investigators previously had linked the killings, which began in late 1983, to one killer.
