Volkswagen of America Inc. said it planned to reduce production by 15 percent and employment by 7.4 percent, to about 2,500 workers, at its New Stanton, Pa., auto assembly plant. The company said the cuts will bring production, which amounted to 96,000 vehicles last year, in line with sales.
