CIGNA Cos., an insurance and health care concern, has leased 96,396 square feet or 2 1/2 floors in the office building at 525 W. Monroe St.
CIGNA is scheduled to move most of its Chicago-area operations by April 1 from a number of Loop buildings to the 18th and 19th floors and part of the 22d floor, according to Tishman Speyer Properties, the building`s developer.
Robert D. Kilpatrick, CIGNA chairman and chief executive, said the move will provide agents, brokers and customers with ”one-stop access” to the firm.
Operations that will occupy the new quarters include CIGNA`s Property, Casualty, Individual Financial and Health Care groups and employee benefits division.
The Chicago real estate brokerage office of Grubb & Ellis Co. represented CIGNA.
