Once again, while filling out my 1985 tax return I became very frustrated. Our federal tax system seems totally unfair and warped.
Instead of allowing families to ”deduct” money for the basic necessities of life (housing, utilities), loopholes are provided for more wealthy taxpayers to deduct such things as ”investment expenses”–tax shelter books, file cabinets, supplies used for investing. The whole mess seems ludicrous.
