A man who said he confessed to two murders because he ”was tired” was acquitted Wednesday in the deaths of his elderly aunt and uncle. Terrance Brown, 25, of 4422 Bretz Dr., Richton Park, was acquitted late Wednesday by a jury that had heard testimony in the trial at which he was accused of murdering Henry Brown, 86, and Faye Brown, 79. The elderly couple, who were married 52 years, were found Nov. 8, 1984, beaten and stabbed. After first providing an alibi that proved to be untrue, Terrance Brown told police that he wanted to tell the truth, police said. He told police he had beaten his aunt and uncle with a pipe wrench after they quarreled about a $200 car he bought from them that ”was not working,” police said. But Brown testified at the trial after questioning by police over 1 1/2 days. ”I was confused,” he said. ”I was tired. I was worried. I was just out of it.”
