Time Inc. said it will lay off 136 editorial and business workers in its magazine divisions to help cut costs. Time also reported its fourth-quarter earnings fell 23 percent, to $51.4 million, or 81 cents a share, as revenues rose 11 percent, to $945.2 million. The latest quarter included a pretax provision of $13 million for estimated costs from the staff reductions.
