Services for Stephen D. Agins, 38, a former Chicago police officer who became an actor in New York, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel at 8620 S. Stony Island Ave. Mr. Agins died Sunday. He was a Marine Corps veteran of Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a Chicago police officer for nine years before moving to New York. He played the title role in an off-Broadway revival of ”The Emperor Jones” in 1979. He also played in ”The Ice Game” in 1980 and appeared in the movie, ”Ft. Apache, the Bronx.” Mr. Agins is survived by his parents, Claudell and Eleanor Agins; two sisters, Judy Ojo and Sharon Miller; three foster brothers, Ronald Chancey, Michael Chancey and Vincent Chancey; three foster sisters, Joyce Davis, Gladys Mack and Francine Wilson; and a grandfather, Woody Grey.
