Zenith Data Systems, a subsidiary of Zenith Electronics Corp. was awarded an Internal Revenue Service contract for an estimated $27 million worth of laptop computers. Zenith said it is expected to provide 15,000 to 18,000 portable personal computers in the next 18 months.
