The Securities and Exchange Commission will receive a staff
recommendation by early June on dealing with stock-market volatility related to stock-index futures and options trading, said Richard Chase, SEC associate director of market regulation. Chase met Tuesday with officials of major options exchanges. Rep. John Dingell (D., Mich) has requested a report by June 13.
