The U.S. International Trade Commission voted 4-2 to impose stiff tariffs on imports of a Japanese computer memory chip that is a major component in computers. The decision upheld an earlier Commerce Department ruling that Japanese firms were ”dumping” the 64K dynamic random access memory chips.
