General Motors Corp. Chairman Roger B. Smith has been named to head the Business Roundtable, an association of chief executive officers of 200 corporations. Smith succeeds Robert A. Beck, chairman of Prudential Insurance Co. of America, who served two years as Roundtable chairman, the association said.
