Mass for Gerald J. Hoban, 50, a Chicago police detective, will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday in Immaculate Conception Church, Talcott and Harlem Avenues. Mr. Hoban, of the North Side, died Sunday in Illinois Masonic Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Marion; three daughters, Elizabeth, Cathleen and Mary Schultz; two grandchildren; his mother, Helen; and two brothers.
